Maker's Series: Women + Weed

Puff, puff, pass, ladies. Times have changed, but the stigma behind cannabis remains. In a society where the word stoner is still synonymous with slacker, working women are slowly changing the outmoded image of "getting high," and using cannabis as a means of healing and personal empowerment.

About The Event

The relationship between women and weed is complex; while cannabis is an amazing tool for health issues specific to women, this benefit has been overshadowed by fear of judgement. However, women are one of the fastest growing segments of cannabis users, according to a recent study from Eaze. Cannabis can help with all sorts of life states: trouble sleeping, body pain, and anxiety. In addition, cannabis can give you more energy and higher level of functionality, focus, and creativity.

Sponsored by 1906, Canyon Cultivation and Stillwater this event will be both educational and experiential. Join us for an informative discussion, with a panel of industry and medical experts who will focus on the basics. Learn about the difference between CBD and THC, the difference between the strains (Indica, Sativa, Hybrid), how various strains can help with medical issues, how to consume, how to dose properly, and what to look for when you buy. You will then have an opportunity to put all that newfound knowledge to use and learn from local cannabis companies about their products and benefits.

Food, music and libations will be provided. Location will not be disclosed until a couple days prior to event. The location is in the RiNO area. This is a private, 21+ event for invited guests. All guests must pre-register. Don’t miss the festivities!
